Community Before Commission is a charity initiative founded by a team of compassionate Real Estate Agents in the Northern Suburbs of the Illawarra.

Each year the Agents donate $20,000 from their commissions to provide financial assistance in the form of grants to locals who may have fallen on tough times.

Community Before Commission provides financial assistance to residents within our local area who may have fallen on tough times or are experiencing significant hardship. Established in 2019 by Dignam Real Estate, Director Adam McMahon leads this initiative with his team of compassionate Real Estate Agents who have a burning desire to give back to the Illawarra community.

Every year, Community Before Commission will help one or more local residents or families who may be going through a difficult time, by awarding them with a financial grant of up to $20,000. To be eligible for the grant, each potential recipient will need to submit an application form. You may nominate yourself or someone you know who is experiencing significant levels of hardship.  Hardship may be considered as an illness or injury (mental, emotional or physical), financial adversity or perhaps an unfortunate event or circumstance has occurred which is greatly affecting someone’s life and those around them.

We are privileged to have the involvement of five community-minded committee members who continually demonstrate their integrity and who share our passion for supporting our local area. To assist with the difficult decision making process, these panel members will assess each application and thus, independently conclude who is to awarded the grants for financial assistance.
